Thank you for your interest in adopting a stray dog.

You can’t save all animals but you can definitely make the difference to the life of one Stray dog! 

 

    Is not always possible to adopt a stray dog from this category. These dogs are living on the street and they do not have all the necessary documents and veterinary   examinations in order to be adopted.

  The procedure might be some expensive and time consuming.  

In order to proceed legally with an adoption the following steps should be taken:

  Upon expression of your interest in adopting a stray dog and providing us with some details, such as where the dog will stay etc, we will follow the steps described bellow:

   STEP 1. We will take – for free - this dog to the reception area of our shelter for a short period of time and we will proceed to all necessary veterinary examinations in order to obtain a complete image of his/hers health condition.

This is a procedure you will have to cover the cost! We will notify you by e-mail of all the results and Vet payment receipts.

   STEP 2. If the results are positive and the dog can be adopted, then we will go to STEP 3.

   - If there is a medical condition that can be treated then we will inform you about the cost and the time period, the treatment will require. If you decide to cover the cost and wait a little longer, then we will keep the dog in our shelter and offer the proper treatment.  (Once again we will inform you by e-mail and provide all receipts for the treatment, Vet cost, etc). When the time comes and the treatment is successful, then we will proceed to STEP.3

  -If the medical condition is not treatable, then we will have to introduce this particular dog back to the streets, unless you decide (in co-operation with us) to e-adopt this dog and help it live a better life.  (Please check our e-adaptation possibilities).

  STEP 3. In case everything is clear and the dog is ready for adaption then we will proceed with vaccinations and Health certificate book as well as a passport. This is a procedure you will have to cover the cost! We will notify you by e-mail for  the cost and provide of curse all receipts for this.

  STEP 4. After hosting your “new pet” for as long as necessary till everything is ready and legal, we will make all necessary arrangements for transportation. (You are of course more than welcome to pay us a visit and Pick your new friend on your own).

  STEP 5. You are the proud owner of a new pet and we would like to have some Photos / video of your new family member.
